Before
I show you the pictures, I would like to acknowledge my sources. A
couple of these photos come from www.imdb.com, which is great (and
I MEAN great) for films and actors, but most of them come from http://headtripdrama.tripod.com/rickman.html
. I swear to you, there is no better place for Alan Rickman photos.
Every single one that I have ever seen is on this site, and although
they are not annotated in any way there are some that I've never found
in my hours of searching before now. I've had to pick only the nicest
ones, but there are millions there. I strongly advise you to visit
this site if you like Alan Rickman.

I
have no idea where this picture comes from. In fact, this is the
case with many of these pictures. But I DO know that it's a very
nice picture. Missing a bit of definition around the mouth, but
still ... 'nice suit'. (AR in Die Hard) |

This
is Alan Rickman in Die Hard, a rather hilarious film
with some very bad acting from Bruce Willis. Rickman brings
the typical British bad guy character to the film, giving it
a flavour of style and panache. Otherwise the film would have
been simply a slick, violent American police cop thriller. Which
is, essentially, what the plot comprises.
Anyway,
just look at his eyes! And the hair, and the jacket ... I could
go on, but I won't. Watch the film. There are some great quotes. |
 |
I
thought originally this was from Die Hard too, because
of the facial hair, but I'm not totally sure. For one thing, he's
wearing a suit and tie here whereas he's not in the above photo.
Unless this one is from Die Hard and the other one isn't.
If anyone knows, please contact me. My email address is on the
homepage. |

Again,
no idea where it's from, but I have one word about this photo:
EYES! Just look at the eyes .... |
 |
The
buzz word for this photo is NECK. Lovely neck, although the photo
is a little disorted because I've had to shrink it a bit. |
 |
This
is Rickman as the Sherriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince
of Thieves. He's brilliant in this - has some great lines
and overall it's a very cool part. He gets to swagger around,
fraternise with a witches and whores and generally be nasty to
Maid Marion. Kevin Costner doesn't bring much to the film, but
he's American - see above. |
 |
Hee
hee, a little teeny bit of stubble under his nose I spy! Nice
jacket, too ... and if anyone makes comments about how the creaky
jacket suits his creaky limbs, as someone has already, I'll yank
you in half! |
 |
This
isn't my signed photo, although I do actually have one! I was
given it for my fifteenth birthday, I think ... it's great.
In
this photo, by the way, Rickman is Colonel Brandon in Sense
and Sensibility. This isn't a bad adaptation, which stars
a good number of famous British actors (Emma Thompson, Kate
Winslet, Hugh Grant, Hugh Laurie, Emelda Staunton , Imogen Stubbs
and Gemma Jones, for example!). Here Rickman gets to play a
quiet, reserved, secretly in love type man - and everything
ends up happily for him at the end! |
 |
A
slight twinge of a smile there ... |
 |
And
looking up heavenwards. With his eyes shut. Well, he does like
to daydream apparently! Good for him, I say! |
 |
Hans
Gruber with his gang in Die Hard. Yeah, baby .. |
