Right. About me. Um. My name's Roz. Here are a couple of photos of me:

I spend much of my time with my friends, who are great, at school, which is pretty cool generally, or at home. I play the piano, I write a lot (I'm thinking about putting up some of my original stories), I read some fanfiction at www.fanfiction.net which is a great site for ... well, stories about almost any popular book or film.

I believe that the most valuable things in life are other people, the interactions we have with them and the feelings we have for them. You should never neglect yourself, but don't forget that you would not be who you are without them.

I don't believe in marriage - I can't really justify this argument, it just doesn't appeal to me. I also think it's criminal that homosexuals can't marry, because they are just as in love as any heterosexual couple. There is also evidence to show that there is less violence in homosexual couples than in heterosexual couples. Homosexuality I am very much in favour of, being bisexual myself. That's a fairly recent discovery.

I don't want to have children, I really don't like them very much and I don't have this maternal instinct that most of my friends seem to have. Also the population is high enough as it is - it really doesn't need a half-hearted mother like me.

I don't think love can ever make you truly happy, simply because it is impossible for one person to give you absolutely everything and I believe that it would be the complete sharing of everything - all time, all thoughts etc. - that makes for total intimacy. Whenever you are away from someone you love, it hurts, whenever you argue it hurts much more than if you were arguing with someone you didn't love. It goes on. But those are my reasons.

I love music, all sorts really. My favourite band is Queen - rock on, Mercury! (why did he have to die??) - and my favourite artist is probably David Bowie, the sexiest goblin king in the world. His lyrics are wonderful too. But there are some modern things that I do like, some random songs. There isn't any particular group that I'm a fan of, just a few songs.

I don't like America as a nation because it has this stupid belief that it's invincible. Americans as individuals are very nice, very friendly and I have nothing against them, but as a patriotic mass I really don't like them. September 11 was sad, of course, and largely unjustified, but I don't think it'd have happened if America hadn't been swaggering around and proclaiming its invicibility.

I've been told by many people that I'm arrogant, which is probably true. I think I'm fairly clever - my marks have always been quite high, so .. My moods tend to fluctuate quite rapidly - not between extremes, necessarily, but I can be unhappy one minute and cheerful the next. I'm affected by hormones quite a bit at the moment. I'm a very warm person - I have very strong feelings for people. I'm not always very trusting - I select the people to whom I tell things quite carefully, and it's not unknown for people to move in and out of my confidence.

I used to be quite obsessed with Harry Potter, writing quite a few stories based in the world. I don't think either the books or the films are that great, but I do admire the enormity of the world, and I quite guiltlessly take advantage of the great characters to create new, wonderful situations. I have written slash (homosexual fiction) - if anyone has a problem with that, get out now. HP fans will know what I mean when I say that LM/SS is great, as is HG/LM. Dark fiction is the best.
